Out of the 6 countries I visited during my 18 month trip, New Zealand was definitely my favourite - and probably the most beautiful place i've ever been. I spent one month on the Kiwi Experience, travelling both the North and South Islands. New Zealand is the perfect country for a roadtrip; blessed with breathtaking landscapes, vibrant culture, friendly locals and delicious food! You can't help but stare out of the window the whole time, as every turn unveils yet another spectacular view.
rom throwing myself off a bungy platform suspended 134m high in the Southern Alps, to a 19.4km hike over multiple volcanic peaks on the world-renowned Tongariro Alpine Crossing, to indulging in one of Queenstowns' world famous Fergburgers... my month in New Zealand was definitely one I will never forget! Not to mention sailing alongside a 24m whale (bigger than our boat!) in Kaikoura, spending a night in a traditional Maori Cultural village, relaxing in our self-dug hot pool on the aptly named Hot Water Beach while watching the sunset and spending 5 hours abseiling, climbing waterfalls and rafting in the stunning underworld of the Ruakuri Cave.
his quiet little country is full of natural hidden gems and bucketlist goals. Being one of the most picturesque and photogenic places in the world, I cannot wait to go back to explore some more and see what else it has to offer... and I definitely wont be able to resist ticking another bungee jump or two off my bucket list while I'm there!
